IF MY ORGANIZATION SIGNS UP FOR A FREE SPiN CHANNEL, DO THE DIRECTORS OF ALL OF OUR PARTICIPATING ENSEMBLES GET A SUBSCRIPTION?
Yes! Music Education Association Channels have one dedicated Channel Administrator, and they can designate can designate four additional administrative users. Additionally one Director associated with each of your participating ensembles participating in your organization will receive a subscriber to view the videos. If the Director’s school creates a free Channel on SPiN, he or she is given a Basis subscriptionThe Director is then able to login and upload, and view all videos associated with his or her school’s channel.
WHO IS ABLE TO UPLOAD VIDEOS?
Professional videographers, production companies, organization channel administrators, and ensemble directors.
WHAT VIDEO FORMATS CAN BE UPLOADED?
Most video formats and codecs are supported - Contact Us if you find your video is incompatible.
ARE THERE VIDEO SIZE LIMITATIONS?
There is no size restriction of video files uploaded, but consider videos should be one composition per video.
IF I AM THE HOST OF AN EVENT, CAN I UPLOAD VIDEOS OF ALL OF THE PERFORMING ENSEMBLES?
Yes. If you are the host of the event, you can upload videos of all of the performing ensembles regardless of whether they have a channel on SPiN or not.
WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO UPLOAD A PICTURE OR LOGO OF MY ORGANIZATION WHEN I CREATE MY CHANNEL?
This is optional and certainly not required. Once you upload your picture or logo it appears at the top of your channel and provides a personalized touch for your subscribers.. You can change this image/logo as often as you’d like.
AM I ABLE TO ADD AND/OR DELETE MY VIDEOS AT MY DISCRETION?
Yes. The Channel Administrator can add or delete videos at any time.
ONCE I UPLOAD A VIDEO TO SPiN, WHO OWNS THE CONTENT?
Not SPiN. We neither acquire or retain ownership of any video uploaded to the network. All content is owned by the organization that uploaded the video.
WHY DO SOME VIDEOS TAKE LONGER TO CLEAR THAN OTHERS?
SBN Broadcasting Network tries very hard to get your performances cleared as quickly as possible. Some publishers take longer to clear songs than others.
ARE THERE LIMITS TO HOW MANY ENSEMBLES CAN BE ASSOCIATED WITH ONE ORGANIZATION?
No - we encourage schools and state music education associations to include all of their performing ensembles.
IF I LIVE STREAM AN EVENT ON MY CHANNEL, WILL A VIDEO OF THAT EVENT AUTOMATICALLY BECOME AVAILABLE?
No - you will need to upload a video of the live stream in order to list all composition and ensemble information.
